Green Energy Jobs Operating A Wood Pellet Mill Plant While we need to starting using lower carbon emission forms of energy we also need to start using the green energy sector to generate jobs. One area of green energy where a huge number of jobs can be created is the biomass energy sector. More specifically the pellet fuel industry through producing fuel pellets for homes and businesses to use for heating. The advantage of the pellet fuel industry is that fuel pellets can be produced on a very small scale. Therefore small scale local businesses can be setup, producing fuel pellets for the local area. An example of the type of fuel pellets that can be produced are in the video below, please click. Green energy jobs can be created in cultivating the biomass crops, processing the biomass crops into pellets, and finally then distributing those pellets into the local community. All of these jobs can be created locally, and also help to support existing local industries. For example, one source of biomass is the waste from agriculture, for instance corn cobs and stalk. Currently stalks and cobs are purely seen as waste and have no value. However the farmer could generate additional revenue either processing these resources them selves into fuel pellets, or selling the resources to a local company to process into pellets. Using such a material could also lower the cost of corn for food, as the farmer is generating additional revenue from the same crop. Also, the fuel pellets generated from the corn waste would be all local and made with local workers. This is just one example of how jobs can be created in the local area. Green energy jobs will become more common with the support of the local area, with biomass fuel pellets as an example. Please click below for a range of videos of wood pellet mill plants producing various grades of fuel pellets. |
